About Me
18 Years of Service
Mission
I have worked hard to better my community. My goal is to help improve my local community and my larger communities. Coming from a low-income family, with a lack of knowledge on how to achieve my educational goals, has helped me realize where I need to be to help others. I started my mission with the creation of a low income, community-based computer repair service. I would fix people's computers, even when they lacked the funds to pay for the repairs. I was driven by the need to further help my community, I found myself working towards an educational path. My teaching style focuses on self-motivation, critical thinking, and self-empowerment. I have tried to develop events where small artists from the community can better express themselves and sell their work.

Vision
I continue as an educator with the hopes of changing the lives of students in my community. Most importantly I want to show students that they all have value, each one of them can achieve their goals if they have the correct tools to do so.

Services Provided

I continue to assist my students, their families and community members with computer services. Working as a contractual worker, I have supported many businesses with their IT and Graphic Design needs. All of this is tied into my curriculum, from implementing business sense into my Graphic Design classes, to how we can learn architectural concepts with my Advanced Art classes. Real-world skills that can be tied into my Art Classes.

My Art

Color and vibrancy are a theme that run through my work. Focusing on the unseen beauty, things that normally we overlook or simply find drab and mundane. I like to think of it as an interpretation of the ideals of stopping to smell the roses. We are all too focus on work, debt, and things that tend to stress us out. This theme along with traditional concepts have helped me develop a body of work that others find interest in. I love to bring in culture and it's empowering effects in art. The ability to bring up emotional ties associated with imagery, imagery that an entire section of the population can instantly connect to, where some can even recall memories associated to the imagery within my work.
